he cast and creator of FX’s biker drama had plenty to say about the upcoming season 4 of Sons of Anarchy. They talked to The Hollywood Reporter on the red carpet at the Season 4 premiere event about the tumultuous season ahead. THR asked them to sum up season 4 in one season.

In Season 4, the Sons of Anarchy motorcycle club is fresh out of the slammer, where they spent the past 18 months serving out a sentence.

 They are eager to get the club running again, and in need of some cash to do it.
Charlie Hunnam, who stars as Jax Teller, told THR that his character is struggling with finding a way to get out of the motorcycle club and start a new life with his girlfriend, Tara (Maggie Siff) and his two sons.

Siff, who had a role in AMC’s Mad Men, spoke to THR about her character’s new role as a mother, and also her opinion on Sons of Anarchy creator Kurt Sutter’s sharp comments about Mad Men showrunner Matthew Weiner.
Sutter and his wife, Katey Sagal who stars as motorcycle club matriarch Gemma on the show, spoke to The Hollywood Reporter about where the show will be heading in future seasons, and Sutter also spoke about his recent abandonment of Twitter and what it would take for him to come back.

Those of you hoping to ease back into "Sons of Anarchy" with the Season 4 premiere are A) probably disappointed and B) probably watching the wrong show.

Fourteen months have passed in "SOA" time since the end of last season, but there's next to no looking back in the jam-packed 90-minute premiere. By the end of the episode at least three major story lines are in play, and it feels as if we're in for a relentless season.

The season opens with SAMCRO being released from prison after just over a year and returning to a Charming that's starting to look a lot different than the one they left. Before they even reach town, the club passes a sign for a new, upscale subdivision, and when they do arrive, they discover that the county sheriff has taken over law enforcement in town, and the lieutenant in charge of patrolling Charming (Rockmond Dunbar) is not going to be the friendly sort.

In short order we learn that the feds are hoping to crack down on the Sons using the RICO organized-crime statute; that Jax spent much of his time in prison thinking about getting out of the club (his much-teased "greed and fear" speech, it turns out, is to Tara); and that the club's business relationship with the Russians is going to be a temporary one
