Saturday 9 July - only a few parents understand their role in stopping the spread of infection in water parks, a new study.
Each year over 10,000 people picked up in the United States get sick from infections to water parks. Parents and children have a shower before going to a water park is one of the best ways to reduce the risk of infection, but it seems a lack of awareness of this simple security measure, according to a survey by the University of Michigan CS Mott Hospital the children.
"While 64 percent of parents believe it is very important to avoid for children to swallow water in a water park, only 26 percent of parents think it is very important to the showers before the entry of water," poll director Dr. Matthew Davis, associate professor in the Child Health Evaluation and Research Unit, Faculty of Medicine, said in a press release by the University.
