TransAsia Airways in Taiwan, announced today that it has a firm order with Airbus for six A321neo level. The new aircraft will meet the company's strong growth of regional services, particularly in the direct links between Taiwan and mainland China. TransAsia will unveil a selection of engines for new aircraft in the near future.
TransAsia Airways currently operates five A321s and A320s with two transport services both nationally and regionally. In addition to the order announced today, the airline has six shark fins equipped A321 orders for future delivery.
"With 18 years of successful business benefit with the A320 family of lower operating costs and outstanding reliability, the company offers the only product line-wing of the Airbus benefits," said Vincent Lin, president of TransAsia Airways. "The A321neo fit perfectly into our existing fleet from an operational point of view brings a new level of energy efficiency and less environmental impact."
