Singapore Election Watch: Tan Jee Say collects eligibility forms
I take a step forward because many Singaporeans do not want a president-PAP, PAP, whose independence is clear, obvious and can not be doubted. Only one person can have the moral authority to deploy the mission of the elected president, the checks and balances in the government of PAP meeting.
I am aware of the constitutional limits on the president's office. But as President is what the president has done. It can be as silent and inactive, as he wants to be. Or it may be active. I want to be an active president, with the participation of the nation in matters of conscience and the promotion of a good thing. The PAP government has lost its moral compass. A president elected by direct popular vote, the moral authority to remind them of their falls. It will be the conscience of the nation. Only a legal person with courage and conviction to enhance this role.
