Aljunied GRC MP Chen show Mao announced his decision to resign as a partner at the law firm Davis Polk of this month.
50-year-old workers party member Executive Council, it said in a note published on Friday morning on their Facebook fan page.
"It is clear to me that my new responsibilities as a member of not practicing law the way can remain in the past twenty years," he wrote, adding that outside of the company it will give you more time to his family, the constituency and the country and "exploring alternative work arrangements"
